Trinidad Castillo

ELSA — Trindad H. Castillo passed away to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2013, peacefully surrounded by her family. Mrs. Castillo was born on July 17, 1921 in Weslaco, TX, to Ricardo and Justa Herrera. She married Trinidad Castillo in 1939. They had 17 children. Mrs. Castillo is preceded in death by her husband Trinidad Castillo, 3 children, son, Martin Castillo, daughters, Blanca Estella Castillo and Alicia Castillo Munoz, brothers, Eligio Herrera, Ricardo Herrera, Lorenzo Herrera and Juan Herrera, and sisters, Guadalupe Saenz, Carmen Torres and Eugenia Pantaleon. Trinidad is survived by her children, Amelia (Tom) Christian, Maria (Enrique) Ledesma, Celestina (Rolando) Martinez, Juan (Guadalupe) Castillo, Oralia (Marty) Burton, Fernando Castillo, Samuel Castillo, Adelina (Javier) Cabello, Lucy (Daniel) Flores, Ruben (Joanne) Castillo and Sandra (Daniel) Adame.
Also surviving are 36 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held today Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00p.m. Rosary.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Juan A. Castillo, Jesse Castillo, Julian Burton, Luis Castillo, Rolando Castillo and Micheal Burton.
