MONTE ALTO – Timoteo Garate, 89, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at his residence in Monte Alto, TX. He was born August 22, 1925 to Manuel & Concepcion Garate in Mercedes, TX.
Timoteo is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Macrina Garate; sons; Robert, Carlos Ramon and Javier; daughters, Estella, Soila, Rosalva, Elizabeth, Maria Cristela and Elma; sister, Emma Willis; and 30 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue until Monday, May 11, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Monte Alto. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
