Elsa - Simona Rodriguez, 83, died peacefully Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at her residence in Elsa. Simona was born May 5, 1935 to Regino and Concepcion Torres in Sinton, TX. She is survived by her husband, Heriberto Rodriguez, sons, Daniel (Julia) Rodriguez and David (Leticia) Rodriguez, and daughter, Arcelia (Santos) Ortiz. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday, May 23 and Thursday, May 24, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both nights. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
