LA VILLA – Santana Torres, 80, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his residence in La Villa. He was born January 31, 1937 to Nicolas & Candelaria Torres in Elsa, TX.
Santana is survived by his wife, Elvira M. Serna; son, Jaime Torres; daughters, Dalia Torres and Elsa Torres. Also surviving him are 10 grandchildren; brother, Mario Torres; sisters, Maria Torres DeLeon and Adelita Torres. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jose Torres and Santos Torres.
Viewing will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Monday, September 11, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch.
Cremation will follow at a later date.
