Mercedes- Roman Alvarez, 69, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 in Wisconsin. He was born May 28, 1946 to Pedro & Aniceta Alvarez in Mexico.
Roman is survived by his brothers, Francisco (Juana) Alvarez, Domingo (Angelica) Lares, Alvaro Alvarez; sisters, Carmela Alvarez and Rosa Alvarez. He is preceded in death by his son, Francisco Alvarez and parents.
Viewing will we held Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Friday, March 18, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
