MERCEDES – Raul Ruiz, 56, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen. He was born January 25, 1961 to Jose & Eusebia Ruiz in Mexico.
Raul is survived by his wife, Maria Vega; sons, Jose Ruiz, Raul Ruiz, Jr., Manuel Ruiz, and Jesus Ruiz; daughter, Marlene Ruiz; and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother; brothers, Jose Luis Ruiz, Rene Ruiz, Eduardo Ruiz, and Leonel Ruiz; sisters, Josefina Arrellano and Blanca Estella. He is preceded in death by his father.
Viewing will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mercedes. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
