EDCOUCH - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raul "Bundy" Palomin, beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed from this world on January 3, 2026, at the age of 48. Raul was born on June 18, 1977 in Cass City, Michigan and was a cherished member of his family and community.
Raul was a man of great passion and love for life. His enthusiasm for fishing provided him with moments of tranquility and joy, while his keen interest in politics fueled engaging discussions among his friends and family. He was dedicated to his community, always the first to offer a helping hand to those in need, and his caring nature made him a steadfast friend to all who knew him. Raul was truly the life of the party, bringing laughter and light to every gathering, and his infectious spirit uplifted everyone around him.
Raul is preceded in death by his siblings Jorge Palomin and Nancy Palomin.
Raul is survived by his devoted wife Gabriela Soto, loving daughters: Aisha Marie Palomin, Cassandra Lee Palomin, Maritza Aurora Palomin, Julianna Palomin, Carolina Palomin and Nancy Palomin, 5 grandchildren and his parents Mario and Aurora Palomin. Raul is also survived by his siblings; Mario Palomin, Jr., Jose Edmundo Palomin, Dino Palomin, San Juanita Palomin, and Maria Rebecca Garcia. Also left to cherish Raul's memory are numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Family and Friends will gather to remember Raul on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. A Chapel service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Raul Palomin will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
