Porfirio Cardona

EDCOUCH- Porfirio Cardona, 85, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 29, 2023 at his Edcouch residence. Porfirio was born February 28, 1938 to Isaac and Refugia Cardona in Uturbide, N.L. Mexico.

Porfirio is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Cardona; parents, Isaac and Refugia Cardona; brother, Braulio Cardona; sister Elena Cardona.

Porfirio is survived by his sons, Martin Godinez, Isaac Cardona, Alejandro Cardona, Oscar Cardona, Porfirio Cardona, Jr., Rene Cardona. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Primitivo Cardona, Guadalupe Cardona, Sigifrido Cardona, Maria Enriquez and Isabel Hernandez. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed  by his family and friends.

Viewing will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow to Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
