La Villa-Nicolas Zamora, 97, died Thursday, September 15, 2022 at his La Villa residence. Nicolas was born October 24, 1924 in Nazas Durango, Mexico to Martin & Domitila Zamora. He is preceded in death by his sons, Jose Zamora and Jose Luis Zamora; parents, Martin & Domitila Zamora. He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Marciana Martinez Zamora; daughters, Juanita Alcoser, Elida (Juan) Mena, Maria (George) Zamora Saldana and Josefina Zamora. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and sister, Julia Zamora Perales.
Family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2022 and Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. A Holy Rosary will be recited both nights at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.
