EDCOUCH – Maximo Rodriguez, 96, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at his residence in Edcouch. He was born April 5, 1922 to Cornelio and Jesusita Rodriguez in General Teran, N.L. Mexico.

Maximo is survived by his wife, Julia Elizondo Rodriguez; sons; Benito (Elena) Rodriguez and Moises (Maribel) Rodriguez; daughters, Juanita Montelongo and Linda Rodriguez; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Leonel Rodriguez.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will continue Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
