Elsa - Maria de Jesus Ybarra, 96, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco. She was born April 9, 1920 to Pedro & Ignacia Ibarra in Victoria, TX.
Maria is survived by her nephews, Manuel Garcia, Roberto Ybarra, and Eduardo Garcia; nieces, Rebecca Acevedo, Ninfa Cortez, and Socorro Tijerina. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Pedro Ybarra, Manuel Ybarra, and Marcos Ybarra; sisters, Maria Y. Garcia, Julia Ybarra, and Sarita Ybarra.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Cremation will follow at a later date.
