La Blanca- Maria C. Vasquez, 78, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. She was born April 11, 1938 to Jacinto & Maria in Mexico.
Maria is survived by her sons, Santiago Vasquez and Francisco (Maria) Vasquez; and daughter, Norma Gonzalez. Also surviving her are brother, Pablo Rodriguez, Genoveva Lerma, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Viewing will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresita Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
