MONTE ALTO – Maria Elena Garcia, 59, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. She was born September 6, 1958 to Porfirio & Maria Garcia in Mexico.
Maria Elena is survived by her husband, Juan Aguirre; sons, Jose Antonio Garcia, Juan Aguirre, Jr., Mario Alberto Aguirre, and Sergio Aguirre; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers, Juan Garcia, Porfirio Garcia, and Jose Garcia; sisters, Sofia Garcia, Juana Maria Garcia, Esperanza Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Mari Carmen Garcia.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Camino de Fe Church in Monte Alto. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
