LA VILLA – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Concepcion Olivarez, affectionately known as “Concha,” and lovingly called “Conchita” by those closest to her, who entered eternal rest peacefully on April 27, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on August 15, 1927, in La Villa, Texas, Conchita lived a life filled with love, laughter, and hard work, embodying the values she held dear.
Conchita dedicated many years of her life to the food manufacturing industry, where her strong work ethic and caring nature were evident. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and her deep love for her children and grandchildren enriched their lives profoundly.
Conchita had a vivacious spirit that drew people in....whether through her love of Spanish music, which she joyfully sang at every opportunity, or her passion for exploring new restaurants with friends. She was known as a strong, independent woman, a natural leader with a warm spirit that those closest to her cherished.
Faith was an essential part of Conchitas’s life. She found comfort and strength in attending church every Sunday, reflecting her devotion to her beliefs and her community.
Though she has departed from this life, Conchitas’s legacy of love, generosity, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever remain a shining example of kindness, strength, and grace.
