WESLACO – Leandro Lopez, 86, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his residence in Weslaco. He was born February 25, 1931 to Martin & Paula Lopez in Matamoros, Tamps., MX.
Leandro is survived by his wife, Maria Concepcion Lopez; daughters, Rosa A. (Gonzalo) Serna, Maria Concepcion (Elvin) Caraballo, Sandra (Juan) Villegas, Paula (Jorge) Aza, and Lauren (David) Esquivel; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are sisters, Laurencia Palmer, Ludivina De Leon, Lucila Medina, and Noemi Ramirez.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 10:00 a.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at La Blanca Cemetery.
