Kristy Costilla

SANTA ROSA – Kristy Renee Costilla, 41, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She was born October 24, 1976 to Camilo Trevino & Melinda Leal in Harlingen.

A loving mother and homemaker, Kristy had a remarkable passion for baking beautiful cakes and delicious cookies. She was an active member in her community of Santa Rosa and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed.

Kristy is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Eliazar Costilla; son, Aaron James Costilla; daughter, Chyenne Kristy Costilla; parents, Camilo S. (Gracie) Trevino and Melinda (Henry) Leal; brother, Adrian M. (Juliana) Leal; sisters, Kimberly R. (Bobby) Saldivar, Kelly R. (Rene) Ballin, and Isabella M. Leal. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Jose & Cruz Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews, and her Godchildren, Devyn Saldivar, Jenna Rose Ruiz, Jacob Costilla, and Kaycee Ballin.

Viewing will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will continue Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Interment will follow at Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
