Juanita Guajardo Garcia

Sep 1, 1950 — Oct 19, 2026

Juanita "Connie" García, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of Gregorio Buitron and Concepción Becerra Buitron of Mercedes, Texas. She always treasured the love and fond memories of the family who loved her. Juanita devoted 26 years to education as an elementary school teacher for La Villa ISD before retiring following her battle with cancer. A proud cancer survivor, she soon realized how much she missed the classroom and the joy of working with students. Her passion for teaching led her back to education, where she served another 16 years as a substitute teacher for Donna ISD. She especially enjoyed her days at W.A. Todd and Donna North High School, where she cherished the friendships she formed with teachers, staff, and coworkers. For Juanita, teaching was more than a career; it was a calling that brought her happiness and purpose.

Her love for education extended beyond the classroom, inspiring members of her own family to follow in her footsteps and pursue careers in education. Through them, her passion for teaching and helping others will continue for generations to come. Above all, Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed watching movies, taking trips to the casinos, and spending time with her beloved pets. She was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, proudly cheering them on, win or lose! She will always be remembered for her kindness, caring heart, and love for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Jesús García; her parents, Gregorio and Concepción Buitron; her sister, Concepción Romeros; and her brothers, Reymundo and Santiago Gonzales.

Left to cherish her memory are her four loving children: Yvette (Ricardo) Luna, Yvonne (Ricky) Wade, Rolando García, and Javier G. García; her brother, Jesús Guajardo; her eight cherished grandchildren, Heather L. (Jerry Perez) Luna, Richard (Ashley) Wade Jr., Randy J. Wade, Roland J. (Stefanie) Wade, Robert J. (Rachel) Wade, Celeste R. García, Lauren S. García, and Naya J. García; and her four precious great-grandchildren, Kaelynn B. Pérez, Tristan J. Pérez, Ryland J. Wade, and Atlas C. Wade; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends. Juanita leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, dedication, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Forever loved, deeply missed, and always in our hearts.
