Juan Valdez
August 12, 1960 — July 3, 2017
ELSA – Juan A. Valdez, 56, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born August 12, 1960 to Jose A. & Guadalupe Hinojosa in Weslaco.
Juan is survived by his wife, Gloria Valdez; son, Efrain Reyna; grandchildren, Jesse and Jacob; and father, Jose “Pepe” Hinojosa. Also surviving him are brothers, Joel Hinojosa, Joe Hinojosa, Jaime Hinojosa, Jesse Hinojosa, and Javier Hinojosa; sisters, Lupita Hinojosa, Leticia Hinojosa, Lorena Hinojosa, Lola Hinojosa, and Laura Hinojosa. He is preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe Hinojosa; and brothers, Jose Antonio Hinojosa and Domingo Sanchez. Juan was a Jehovah Witness for many years and a lifelong resident of Elsa. He was a truck driver for most of his life.
Viewing will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Service at 7:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel.
Cremation will follow at a later date.
