EDCOUCH - Juan Gabriel Sandoval, born on June 10, 1972, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, entered eternal rest on Saturday March 14, 2026 surrounde d by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Juan had a true passion for truck driving, and owning his own trucking company was more than just a career—it was his life’s work and a source of great pride. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who enjoyed cheering on his favorite team. To his many nieces and nephews, Juan was lovingly known as the “Candyman,” a nickname that reflected the joy, warmth, and kindness he shared so freely with those around him.
Juan is survived by his loving wife, Olga A. Sandoval; his sons, Juan Gabriel Sandoval, Jr., Justin Andrew Sandoval (Soila Moreno), and Joshua Ismael Sandoval. He is also survived by his beloved parents, Salvador and Timotea Sandoval.
Juan is also survived by his siblings: Rosa Martinez (+David), Jorge Sandoval (Josie), Salvador Sandoval, Jr. (Norma), Guadalupe Bermudez (Ramon), Victor Sandoval (Esmeralda), Iracema Alegria (Leeroy), Erika Fuentes (Edilberto), Carlos Sandoval (Iliana), and Claudia Sandoval (Rene) along with numerous nieces and nephews who will forever treasure the memories and love he shared with them.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Refuge Rock Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
Having the honor of serving as pallbearers are Justin Andrew Sandoval, Victor Sandoval Jr., Christian Sandoval, Salvador Sandoval III, Leeroy Alegria Jr., and David Martinez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Juan Sandoval Jr., Joshua Sandoval, and Armand Uribe III.
Juan’s love, laughter, and dedication to his family will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his memory will continue to be cherished by all whose lives he touched.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dr. Joseph Conde and the staff at Serenity Funeral Chapels, located at 1401 E. Santa Rosa Ave., Edcouch, Texas 78538.
