La Villa – Josefina L. , 66, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Knapp Medical Hospital in Weslaco, TX. She was born February 3, 1951 to Jose de Jesus & Otila Leandro in La Villa, TX.
Josefina is survived by her sons, Jose R. Suarez Jr., Rojelio Suarez, and Rolando Suarez; daughter, Guadalupe Suarez; brother Heriberto, Martin, Jorge Luis, and Tony Orlando Leandro; sisters, Juana Acosta, Antonia Leandro, Lupita Smith, Diana Leandro & Norma San Juanita Leandro; 15 grandchildren, Elijah, Ariana, Briana, Nina, Natalye, Nevaeh, Rojelio Jr., Mia, Rolando, Amy, Siprian, Michael, Joey, Ashley, Jolynn; and 2 great-grandchildren, Haylee Salazar and Sean Salazar. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Suarez and her parents.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on both days. Viewing will continue Friday, August 11, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, TX.
