EDCOUCH - Jose Ricardo Medina Delgado entered eternal rest on April 2, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on August 7, 1986, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jose resided in Edcouch, Texas.

Jose navigated life's challenges with grace and a spirit that inspired those around him.Jose was a devoted family man, valuing the bonds of love and connection above all else. His family was his everything, and he built his life around their happiness and support.

Known for his infectious spirit, Jose had a heart as big as his love for cookouts with friends and family. He was often the life of the party with his good vibes, his laughter echoing in the air as he engaged in games of poker and loteria. His joys included fishing, watching movies, and listening to music, embodying the essence of living in the moment.Jose's favorite colors, black and maroon, were a reflection of his vibrant personality, while his love for Chinese food brought a unique flavor to his gatherings. 

He held a special affection for the character Stitch, symbolizing his playful nature and love for fun. Jose will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will carry forward the lessons of love, resilience, and the importance of family that he instilled in them.

Jose is preceded in death by his beloved mother Francisca Medina; his grandfather, Rosendo Delgado and his uncle, Ponciano Delgado.

Left to cherish Jose's memory are his loving children Marlene Medina, Jose Medina, and Jose Medina, Jr, father Gabino Medina Ceja, siblings; Ana Medina, Claudia Medina, Daniel Medina and Roberto Medina. Jose is also survived by his grandmother Josefa Delgado, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
