ELSA – Jose Luis “Pepe” Cortina, 68, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at McAllen Heart Hospital. He was born January 13, 1950 to Jose & Luisa Cortina in Edcouch, TX.
Jose is survived by his wife, Juana Estela Cortina; sons, Jose Luis (Paris) Cortina, Angel G. (Angela) Cortina, Diego Cortina; daughters, Julia A. (Oscar) Cortina, Erica (Steve) Garza, and Deborah L. (Phillip) Cortina. Also surviving him are 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Abel (Connie) Cortina and Raul (Noemi) Cisneros; sisters, Dalia (+Ismael) Guerra, Amanda (+Genaro) Garcia, and Adelina (Raul) Garcia. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at a later date.
