Elsa – John F. Hys, 81, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Valley Grande Manor Nursing Home. He was born November 24, 1937 to Juliana & Rose Hys in St. Louis, MO.
John is survived by his wife, Jeri Hys; sons, John Johnson and Christopher Johnson; daughters, Susan Linton and Theresa (Bryan) Roach; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Harriet (Alberto) Villalpando. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juliana & Rose Hys.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Elsa. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco.
