Joel Elizondo

Edcouch-Elsa: Joel Elizondo, 69, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born January 31, 1950 to Octavio and Evangelina Elizondo in Edinburg. Joel was passionate about his chosen career as a Trucker. He loved to be out there on our country’s roads. He found solace driving and observing beautiful landscapes.

Joel is survived by his wife, Maria Esther Elizondo; daughters, Erica (Miguel Angel Garcia) Elizondo and Monica (Guillermo) Hernandez; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Octavio Elizondo and Robert (Ana) Elizondo. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Viewing will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Cremation will follow at a later date.
