Edcouch – Jesus Padilla, 74, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at his residence in Edcouch. He was born April 13, 1942 to Manuel & Concepcion Padilla in Mexico.
Jesus is survived by his wife, Leonor Padilla; sons, Jaime Padilla, and Jesus, Jr. (Miriam) Padilla; daughters, Irene (Porfirio) Cardona, Yolanda (Rene) Cardona, Deisy (Jaime) Ventura, Elizabeth (Alberto) Treviño, and San Juana (Jose) Sepulveda. Also surviving him are brother, Manuel Padilla; sister, Maria Imelda Padilla; 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jesus was the operator of the Pasadita Fruit Stand located at his residence on 1015.
Viewing will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 and Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary both days at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Monday, April 10, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresita Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
