Jesus Alvarado

Feb 10, 1946 — Aug 27, 2026

Edcouch, Tx

Jesus Alvarado, of Edcouch, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on February 10, 1946, he will be remembered as a very humble and great-spirited man whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around him.

Jesus found joy in life’s simple and familiar pleasures. He loved the beach and enjoyed long walks, taking in the world at an easy pace. He loved to play the drums, and there was a lively spirit in the happiness he found through music. Quiet moments also suited him well, whether he was playing games on his cell phone or beginning the day with coffee and a cigarette in the morning. He was a devoted fan of the Texans, and above all, he loved being around family and friends, where his gentle nature and good spirit were felt most deeply.

He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward with love: his daughters, Jessica Alvarado, Annaliz Goza, Katherine Alvarado, and Melissa Alvarado; his sons, Jesus Alvarado Jr. and Fidencio Alvarado; his brother, David Alvarado. In the love of his family and the many shared moments they hold close, his life will continue to be remembered and cherished.

He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Alvarado; his daughter, Jasmin Alvarado; his brothers, Damaso Alvarado and Juan Alvarado; his sister, Diana Alvarado Herrera and his parents, Donicio Alvarado and Aurora Alvarado.

Jesus Alvarado will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His humility, his spirit, and the simple joys he embraced will remain a lasting part of the lives he touched.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jesus's life on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 5:00 p.m at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. As per Jesus's wishes he will be cremated at a later date.
