Harlingen/Elsa – Israel Martinez, 61, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He was born November 17, 1956 to Manuel & Juana Martinez in Elsa, TX.
Israel is survived by his brothers, Melchor (Inocencia) Martinez and Emeterio Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will continue Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
