Irene Sustayta

WESLACO - Irene Sustayta, 76, entered eternal rest peacefully on May 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 5, 1950, in Mathis, Texas.

Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Esteban Sustaita, and her parents, Refugio and Rosa Garcia.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Rogelio (Cindy) Sustayta, Esteban Sustayta Jr., Griselda (Carlos) Torres, Irma Sustayta, and Belinda (Ronald) Robinson; her brother, Jacobo (Sulema) Garcia; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Her love, guidance, and devotion to her family will continue to live on through each of them.

Those who knew Irene will remember her kind heart, her strength, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. While her absence leaves a void in the lives of those who loved her, they find comfort in the precious memories they shared and in the hope of God's promise of a future resurrection. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will remain a source of comfort and encouragement for generations to come.

In accordance with Irene's wishes, cremation will take place at a later date.
