EDCOUCH – Ignacio “Nacho” Galvan, 77, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born July 31, 1940 to Domitilo & Magdalena Galvan in Mexico.
Igancio is survived by his wife, Rosalina Galvan; sons, Ignacio (Jesica) Galvan, Jr.; daughters, Laura Galvan, Magdalena Galvan, Maciel Galvan, and Roxanna Mendez. Also surviving him are 5 grandchildren; brothers, Mario Galvan, Braulio Galvan, Joaquin Galvan, Juan Galvan, and Jose Galvan; sisters, Michaela Galvan, Lucia Galvan, and Maria Galvan. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Wednesday, January 1, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
