LA BLANCA- Ignacio Escobedo, 80, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born January 10, 1935 to Eliud & Maria Escobedo in Matamoros, Tamps., MX.
Ignacio is preceded in death by his wife, Maria R. Escobedo; parents; and nine brothers. He is survived by his sons, Ignacio (Laura) Escobedo, Jr., Julian (Veronica) Escobedo; daughter, Alma Gonzalez; sister, Hilda Escobedo, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
