Mercedes- Ignacia R. Maldonado, 93, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her residence in Mercedes. She was born February 2, 1921 in Del Valle, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ezequiel Maldonado, parents, Eleuterio and Lorenza Rodriguez. Ignacia is survived by sons, Eligio, Leocadio, Vicente, Priciliano, Domingo and Manuel Maldonado, daughters, Maria Luisa Maldonado, Maria Dolores Hernandez, Maria Ester Maldonado and Monica Maldonado, brothers, Adelaido Mata and Agustin Rodriguez, sister, Basiliz Mata. Also surviving are 65, grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 3 pm to 9 pm at Templo Bethel, 256 N. Missouri, Mercedes, TX. Viewing will continue Thursday, Sept. 26, at Funeraria Trevino in Valle Hermoso, Tamps., Mexico. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery, Valle Hermoso.
