Edcouch – Gregorio Villarreal, 78, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his residence in Edcouch. He was born March 12, 1938 to Felipe & Amelia Villarreal in Edcouch.
Gregorio is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Villarreal; son, Abel (Mari) Villarreal; daughters, Rainlilly (Ismael) Cruz and Naomi (Benicio) Perez; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are brothers, Felipe Villarreal, and Richard Villarreal; sisters, Froilana Breathour, Celia Santana, Lucy Kaminski, Irma Gafkee, Carol Taylor, and Belinda Villarreal. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Porfirio Villarreal, Cristobal Villarreal, Benigno Villarreal, Abel Villarreal, and Fidencio Villarreal; and sister, Patricia Villarreal.
Viewing will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 10:00 a.m. at CARDOZA Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
