ELSA – Gloria Estela Rivera, 67, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX. She was born September 16, 1950 to Ruperto Sr. & Maria A. Sosa in Elsa, TX.

Gloria is survived by her son, Steven Ted (Rosie) Rivera; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; mother, Maria A. Sosa; brothers, Ruperto Sosa, Jr., Juan Sosa, and David H. Sosa; sister, Elvia (Roberto) Matamoros; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Ramon Rivera, Sr.; father, Ruperto Sosa, Sr., and sons, Manuel Ramon Rivera, Jr. and Juan David Rivera.

Viewing will he held Friday, July 6, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will continue Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
