Elsa - Gilberto Medina, 79, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2011.
He is survived by his wife: Maria L. Medina; sons: Alberto Garza, Geraldo Medina, Miguel Angel Medina, and Israel Medina; and daughters: Rosalia Medina, and Maria Guadalupe Medina.
He is also survived by his brother Justo Medina and sister Ramona Alonzo.
Gilberto is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Saturday, July 23, 2011, and Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Mass was held on Monday, July 25, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa, TX.
Interment followed at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, Texas.
