George Valdez

EDCOUCH – George “Honey” Valdez, 50, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born July 5, 1967 to Gregorio & Diana Valdez in Chicago, IL.

George is survived by his parents; wife, Christina Valdez; children, Kesha (Anthony Rubio) Valdez, Joey (Stephanie) Martinez, Roger Martinez, and Ellie Valdez. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Dylan Rubio, Bailey Rubio, Kairo Martinez, Leuko Martinez, and Mila Martinez; brothers, Gregorio, Jr. (Minerva) Valdez, Gerardo “Jerry” (Lee) Valdez, Arturo Esquivel, Gregory Steven Valdez, Edwin Valdez and Isaac Valdez; sisters, Roxanne Valdez and Alyson DeNae Govea; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Monday, June 18, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
