Frank Cantu, Sr.

Las Vegas/Edcouch- Frank Cantu, Sr., 74 gained his wings Sunday, May 28, 2023 in Weslaco. Frank was born in Lambert, Mississippi on April 23, 1949 to Tomas and Otilia Cantu. On December 9, 1972, Frank married Mirtala V. Cantu at St Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch. Frank was a truck driver with the Teamster's Union Local 631.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Otilia Cantu; brothers, Eradio 'Mayo', Tomas Cantu, Roberto Cantu; grandson, Alexzandur M. Cantu.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Mirtala V. Cantu; his children, Tomas (Leticia) Cantu, Catarino (Jennifer) Cantu, Frank (Sandra) Cantu, Jr., Kahla (Corey) Davis, June (Arnulfo) Blanco and Rodolfo Moreno. Frank is also survived by his grandchildren, Cesar (Ruby) Cantu, Austyn, Abraham, Destiny, Hannah, Alexis, Leila, Frank III, Frank Joseph, Corey, Kileia, Keivon; great grandchildren, Urijah, Roman, Zandur; brothers, Johnny Cantu, David Cantu; sisters, Cristy Cantu, Elivia Cantu, Elidia Cantu, Elia Cantu and Billie Cantu. He was a loving husband and father who will be dearly missed.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 a .m. at St Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch. Visitation will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Holy Rosary at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Having the distinguished honor serving as pallbearers will be: Cesar Cantu, Austyn Cantu, Abraham Cantu, Destiny Cantu, Alexis Cantu, Leila Cantu and Pedro Vallejo. As per his wishes he will be cremated at a later date.
