Weslaco- Francisca Mendez, 85, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at her residence in Weslaco. She was born October 10, 1930 to Felix & Micaela Cardona in Mexico.
Francisca is survived by her sons, Francisco Mendez and Eligio Mendez; daughters, Anita Vasquez and Rosa Garces; sister, Concepcion Cardona; 30 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gavino Mendez and Benjamin Mendez and daughter, Tomasa Garcia.
Viewing will held Sunday February 14, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Monday, February 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Templo Fe de Salvacion in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
