EVANGELINA ELIZONDO

ELSA - Evangelina Elizondo, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco. Mrs. Elizondo was born April 25, 1923 in Escobares, Texas and had lived in Elsa most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Octavio Elizondo; parents, Pedro and Sixta Escobar; a brother, Arturo Escobar; three sisters, Sixta Escobar, Gabriela Villarreal and Ramona Gonzalez. Evangelina is survived by her three sons, Joel (Ester) Elizondo, Octavio Elizondo, Roberto (Anna) Elizondo; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 from 1 p.m. t0 9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. both days, at Cardoza Funeral Home in Edcouch. Interment will take place Sunday, January 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bernardino Octavio, George, Rene, Jaime, Octavio III and Robert, Jr. Elizondo. Honorary Pallbearer will be Carlos Elizondo.
