Eva De La Fuente Aguilar

ELSA – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eva De La Fuente Aguilar, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, who entered eternal rest on June 21, 2026, at the age of 69.

Eva’s spirit was anchored by faith, which guided her through moments both joyous and trying. She was a woman whose devotion to her beliefs, her loved ones, and to life’s little joys was unmistakable and inspiring. Her love for dance embodied her effervescent nature; any gathering could transform with her laughter and movements, reminding all present of the beauty and simple delight that can be found in an embrace or a shared melody.

Family was Eva’s world. She loved deeply and fiercely, holding her children, siblings, and extended family close. She is lovingly survived by her sons, Jose Jaime Leal, Jose De Jesus Quistiano, Juan Carlos Quistiano; daughters, Marisela Aguilar, Marivel Aguilar, Dalia Rangel and Eloisa Martinez. Eva is also survived by numerous grandchildren and siblings, Noe De La Fuente, Maria Celia De La Fuente, Lourdes Garza, and Gloria Perez.

Her heart also carried the loving remembrance of those who preceded her in death: her beloved husband, Hilario Aguilar; daughter, Esmeralda Quistiano; her parents, Jose Maria and  Eloisa De La Fuente and her brother, Jose Alfredo De La Fuente.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eva's life on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Eva's life was a testament to enduring love, unwavering faith, and the joy that comes from embracing those around you. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, strength, and beautiful memories will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
