WESLACO – Ernesto Salazar, 86, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his residence in Weslaco. He was born October 12, 1931 to Santos & Maria De la Luz Salazar in Mexico.

Ernesto is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Salazar; sons, Santos (Carolina) Salazar, Felimon Salazar, and Raul Salazar; daughters, Margarita (Jose Reyna) Salazar, Guadalupe (Ramon Bernal) Salazar, Raquel (Martin Ibarra) Salazar, Maria Salazar, and Delia Salazar; 32 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Antonio Salazar. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gregoria Salazar; and brothers, Jose Salazar, Roman Salazar, and Felipe Salazar.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 10:00 a.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
