LA VILLA – Elia P. Alvarez, 65, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She was born January 22, 1952 to Bernardo & Adelina Perales in Elsa.
Elia is survived by her husband, Homero Alvarez, sons, Homero (Maria) Alvarez, Jr., Jose Armando (Jessica) Alvarez; daughter, Linda (Ricardo Reyes) Alvarez; and 12 grandchildren. Also surviving her are sisters, Maria Bocanegra, Irene Larios, and Linda Perales. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Noe Perales; and brother-in-law, Humberto Bocanegra.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
