McAllen, TX – Eleazar Reyes, 66, passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his residence in McAllen, TX. Mr. Reyes was born October 2, 1945 to Guadalupe and Hermelinda Reyes in Roma, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Reyes of McAllen; 4 sons, Efrain Reyes of La Villa, Eleazar Reyes, Jr. of Utah, Raudel Reyes & Raul Reyes, both of McAllen; 2 daughters, Glenda Reyes of McAllen, Holly Reyes of La Villa & 3 sisters, Diana Reyes Torres of Elsa, Esmeralda Reyes and Maria Azucena Montelongo, both of Edcouch.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe C. and Hermelinda N. Reyes, 1 son, Aaron Reyes, 1 brother, Elias Reyes, and 1 sister, Noelia Gonzalez.
Services
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch, TX. Celebrant will be Rev. Ernesto Magallon.
Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco.
Pallbearers will be Agustin Torres, Jr., Elias Reyes, Brad Takacs, Joshua Calanchi, Justin Calanchi & Edgardo Barrera.
