MERCEDES – Delfina Cantu, 82, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2017 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX. She was born December 24, 1934 to Jose Elias & Maria Mendoza in MX.
Delfina is survived by her sons, Jose Luz Muñoz, Victoriano Muñoz, Daniel Muñoz, Preciliano Muñoz, Reynaldo Cantú, and Carlos Cantú; daughters, Maria Perez, Maria Del Rosario Urbina, and Sonia Muñoz; 37 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; brother, Felipe Mendoza; and sisters, Misol Anzaldua, Cruzita Mendoza de Castaneda, and Manuela Mendoza. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dimas Mendoza and Felipe Mendoza; and sister, Maria Mendez de Noriega and Juanita Vazques.
Viewing will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
