La Villa - Cecilia Franco, 81, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 26, 1933 to Bivian Garza & Juliana Reyna in Los Garzas, TX.
She is survived by Lupita (Ralph) Smith, her niece whom she considered her daughter; brothers, Audon and Marcelo (Teresa) Reyna, Jr.; sisters, Aurora and Soila Reyna; also surviving are numerous nephews and nieces. Cecilia is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Franco; parents; brothers, Israel Gomez and Manuel Reyna; and sisters, Reyes Reyna and Otila Leandro.
Visitation for Cecilia will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa, TX. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, TX.
