Weslaco- Candelaria Cantu Gutierrez, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born November 10, 1945 to Nabor & Teodora Cantu in Weslaco.
Candelaria is survived by sons, Juan Manuel (Eloisa) Mata, Samuel Mata; daughters, Cristy (Joaquin) Pedraza, Candice (David) Garcia, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are brothers, Jose Nabor Cantu, Nabor Cantu, Senovio Cantu, Ernesto Cantu; sisters, Enedelia Cantu and Rosa Elia Contreras. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Joel Gutierrez and parents.
Viewing will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Friday, June 3, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
