Edcouch - Bernardo Loreto Garcia, 92, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, TX. He was born August 8, 1922 to Matilde & Manuela Garcia in Dallas, TX. Bernardo is preceded in death by his wife, Elvia Reyes; brothers, David Garcia, Sabino Garcia, Domingo Garcia; sister, Ernestina Mena and son-in-law, Victor Manuel de la Cruz. He is survived by his companion, Amelia Gonzalez; sons, Juan Manuel (Concepcion) Garcia, Feliberto Garcia, Jesus (San Juana) Garcia; daughters, Maria del Rosario Garcia de la Cruz, San Juana (Reynaldo) Estrada, Consuelo (Armando) Martinez and sister, Maria Cruz Garcia.
Viewing will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
