Le sobreviven su esposa, Maria Guadalupe Cano Sanchez; sus hijos Jorge Salazar, Julio Salazar, Tomas (Adela) Salazar y Luis Ernesto Salazar; hijas, Coral (Gomer) Sanchez, Norma Alicia (Jose) Ventura, Rocio (Manuel) Cornejo, Concuelo Salazar, Maria De Jesus Salazar y Lisa Salazar; treinta y dos nietos; ocho bisnietos; nueve hermanos y cuatro hermanas. Sus padres le anteceden en la muerte.
El velorio será el viernes 14 de mayo de 2021 de 9:00 a.m. a 9:00 p.m. con un Servicio Religioso a las 7:00 p.m. El entierro seguirá a las 10:00 a.m. el sabado 15 de mayo de 2021 en el Cementerio Comunitario de Anahuac en Edcouch, TX.
