Avelia Hernandez

La Villa - Avelia Hernandez, 76, passed away July 29, 2020 at McAllen Heart Hospital. Avelia was born May 27, 1944 to Jose de Jesus and Cleotilde Diaz in La Villa. She is survived by her sons, Jesus (Cammie) Diaz, Saul (Candida) Hernandez, and daughter, Sandra (Raymond) Arispe. She is also survived by her brothers, Rodolfo Diaz and Aaron Diaz; sisters, Consuelo (Elias) Zarate and Carmen Diaz; four grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose de Jesus and Cleotilde Diaz.

Viewing will be Monday, August 3, 2020 at 12 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by departure at 11:15 to the cemetery for graveside interment at 11:30 a.m. at Anahuac Community Cementery in Edcouch.
