LA BLANCA – Amado G. Elizondo, 82, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born January 26, 1936 to Filomeno & Basilia Elizondo in Premont, TX

Amado is survived by his wife, Aurora S. Elizondo; sons, Alonzo Elizondo, George Elizondo, and Amado Elizondo, Jr.; daughter, Mary Lou Cantu; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Antonia Garcia and Guadalupe Elizondo. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jose Joel Elizondo and Filomeno Elizondo.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Viewing will continue Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
