Adela Moreno

ELSA - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Adela Moreno, who left this world on May 13, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on September 29, 1931 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Adela was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her nurturing spirit, unwavering love, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.

Adela found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved watching novelas, tended her garden with great care, and cherished her time with her Bible. She had a special affinity for animals, doting on her cherished dog, Pinto, and her beloved cat, Negro. Her greatest passion, however, was her family. Adela's nurturing nature shone brightest in the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.

Adela is preceded in death by her loving husband Guadalupe Moreno, parents Pablo and San Juanita Delgado and siblings Pablo Delgado, Jose Delgado and Sorcorro.

Adela is survived by her loving children: Consuelo Garza, Guadalupe Moreno, Jr., Ofelia Garza, Rosalinda Gonzalez, Reynaldo Moreno, Tomas Moreno, Adela Moreno, Pablo Moreno, Ramiro Moreno, Mary Bernal, and Raul Moreno. Adela is also survived by numerous grandchildren, 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog Pinto and her cat Negro.  Each of them carries a piece of her generous heart, and her legacy will continue to live on through the love they share and the memories they hold dear.

Family and Friends will gather on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Chapel service at 1:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. We invite all whose lives were touched by Adela to join us in remembering a remarkable woman.

Adela Moreno will be dearly missed, but her loving spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral services are under the direction of Dr. Joseph Conde and staff at Serenity Funeral Chapels located at 1401 E. Santa Rosa Ave Edcouch, Texas 78538.
